About Dead Reckoning

Dead Reckoning began throwing the disc around in the late summer of 2003. Basically, a bunch of summer leaguers decided that summer league was far too short, so they decided to start a team.

Over the last 7 years we’ve tried to maintain a balance between the competitive nature of club ultimate and creating a chill environment for learning the game and improving skills. We’ve had some up years and some down years, but on the whole we’ve been pretty successful at embracing this philosophy.

We’re planning on going to 4 or 5 tournaments this year, beginning with Sectionals in mid-September. Next will be the Clambake, which is typically the last weekend in September or the first weekend in October. In past years we’ve attended mid-October tournaments in Farmington and Unity, and will probably go to one or both again this year depending on scheduling. Homebrew, in beautiful Quechee, VT, is a fun Halloween- themed tourney that we’ve been going to for about 6 years now, and will again this year. We’ll likely wrap up the year in mid-November at Bowdoin’s Frozen Butterball. We have been to Get Ho Ho Ho, which takes place the first weekend in December on Cape Cod, in the past, and might go again if there were enough interest.

Practices will be twice a week, most likely on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning on August 10th. If Dead Reckoning sounds like a team you might like to play for, feel free to contact Kenny ([email protected]), Josh ([email protected]) or Jill ([email protected]).
