Portland Ultimate

Session 2 of the Beginners Clinic.

Lat night saw close to 50 people out to the Cumberland Fairgrounds to
learn the Basics about Ultimate.

Members of Red Tide taught the mechanics of throwing a forehand and a
backhand.  How to catch a disc.  How to make an effective mark on the
thrower.  The difference between home and away.  And then we
scrimmaged 7 on 7 on two fields with a bunch of subs.

Who is sore today?

Well, it continues tomorrow evening at the Cumberland Fairgrounds at
6pm until it gets dark.

Come refine your forehand and backhand.  Come work on your mark.
Learn home and away.  Figure out how to cut from the stack.

Make sure to bring a light shirt and a dark shirt and if you have a
pair of cleats, make sure you bring them.

The summer league has been extended, but the dates are different than first posted.  
The season starts May 27th and will run all the way through August 2nd (pending field confirmation).
