| With a week to go, we unfortunately don't have the interest needed to go ahead with the Solstice Hat Tourney this weekend. Everyone who has signed up will be reimbursed the tourney and UPA fee. We hope to bring this event back next year, so stay tuned!
The 4th of July is a great time to be in Southern Maine, and you can start this year's 3 day weekend with an awesome hat tournament put on by Portland Ultimate! Formerly the Summer Solstice Hat Tourney, we're pushing it back a few weeks to make sure the Cumberland Fairgrounds fields are ready to go for a day of ultimate action. The touranment date is Saturday, July 2nd. For those of you who might be new to the hat tournament, everyone who signs up will be placed on a random team for this one day tournament. Every team is guaranteed at least 4 games with trophies for the winning team. There will be a BBQ featuring local beef and veggie burgers, and we just might get some in-kind support from some local Portland brewers, as well... Just $20 gets you all the ultimate you can play and all the food you can eat, so sign up today! This is a great way to practice your game, meet some new folks, and have a ton of fun!
